We Can’t Wait To Meet You!

What To Expect

We’d love to have you join us for a weekend service at Faith!

If you’ve been here before, welcome back. And if this will be your first time, we know walking into a new church can feel a little unfamiliar. We want to make it as easy as possible.

Here’s a quick look at what you can expect and how a typical weekend at Faith comes together.

  • What are your weekend service times?

    Saturday at 5 PM
Contemporary worship with a full band.

    Sunday at 8 AM
A more traditional service featuring piano-led hymns.

    Sunday at 10 AM
Contemporary worship with a full band.

  • What can I expect from the sermons?

Our weekend services are about 70 minutes, with roughly half of that time devoted to teaching from the Bible.

We value expository preaching—working through the biblical text to understand what it says, what it means, and how it shapes the way we live. We often preach through entire books of the Bible, allowing the text to guide the message and keeping Jesus and the gospel at the center.

  • Do I need to give?

    Not at all.

If you’re visiting, there is no pressure or obligation to give; for those who call Faith Community Church home, giving is an act of worship and a way to support the gospel mission.

  • What should I wear?

    Come as you are.

You’ll see people dressed in everything from jeans to dress clothes, with most somewhere in between.

  • What about my kids?

At Faith, we believe every child is deeply loved by God and an important part of His family and our church community. We partner with parents to engage, equip, and encourage kids to follow Jesus for a lifetime.

Every Sunday at 10am, Faith Kids provides a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment where infants through 5th graders can discover who God is, learn about His love, and grow in their faith.
We’d love for your family to be part of Faith Kids!

  • Where do I go when I arrive?

You can enter through any of our main entrance doors. Our Welcome Center is located in the main foyer, where friendly greeters can help you find your way, answer questions, and offer coffee or tea.

  • Can I get a ride to church?

Yes! Our Janesville Van Ministry provides rides to the 10 am Sunday service.

Call (608) 718-8056 and leave your address by Thursday night to be added to the pickup list.

Our Mission

Jesus often used everyday illustrations to reveal God’s plan in ways people could easily understand. In biblical times, many lived in an agrarian society—farming the land and raising animals for food and worship. Even if we don’t live on farms today, the stories Jesus told communicate timeless truths that still speak to us. Through His parables, we discover how the kingdom of God takes root and grows in our hearts.

Plant

The Parable of the Sower reveals key principles about spiritual growth, teaching that God plants His Word in our hearts like a farmer plants a seed.

A heart that is open and ready to follow God’s will is like good soil, where His Word can take root, grow, and bear fruit. Through His Word, God reveals His character and will, calling us to cultivate hearts that are receptive, faithful, and eager to grow.

Matthew 13:1-9 · Mark 4:2-20 · Luke 8:4-8

Water

Just as plants need the right environment to grow, Christ-followers flourish in a Christ-centered community that nurtures faith and transformation.

When we surround ourselves with other believers, we create space for God to strengthen our faith and keep us walking in the light. God designed us to grow together, and through strong faith community, He shapes us into who He has called us to be.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9 · John 4:10-14 · 1 John 1:7

Grow

The Church is a family, a community of faith in Jesus that nurtures, strengthens, and cares for one another. Christ equips each of us with unique gifts to serve others with God’s love and build up the Church.

We grow when we embrace our calling, serve with joy, and use our gifts to reflect God’s love.

Ephesians 4:11-16 · 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 · Romans 12:4-8

Harvest

When a plant matures, it multiplies by releasing seeds, continuing the cycle of life. In the same way, Jesus calls us to share His love because many hearts are ready to hear the good news and receive salvation through Him.

As we sow the seeds of God’s Word, we trust Him for the harvest and seek to bear fruit that brings Him glory.

Matthew 9:37-38 · Mark 4:26-29 · John 4:35 · John 15:8
